On-Construction EPC.

It is now a legal requirement for all newly constructed dwellings to have an Energy Performance Certificate. An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) gives information on the building’s energy efficiency. Upon construction Building Control will require evidence that the newly constructed dwelling complies with the Building Regulation and has an EPC from an accredited On Construction Energy Assessor. Building Control will not issue a completion certificate until they are satisfied, that compliance has been achieved. If the completed home is being advertised for sale, the EPC should be made available to include in a Home Information Pack for potential buyer.
